Details about the build
One single piece of glass fibre stem goes completely through the Rohacell “Super Hard” foam body, forming both the stem and antenna.
A continuous piece of stem reduces the weak spot of joining two materials together and allows for a stronger and lighter tip for better balance, resulting in a very sensitive float.
Completely made from start to finish by myself, the whole process including the hand painting and varnishing takes up to a week to complete.

Advantages
Using only the strongest and hardest foam helps to hold the side eye in place, so the eye won’t tear out like with balsa and softer lower quality foams.
This type of build allows a thin solid tip to be lightweight which results in a ultra sensitive, strong and superbly balanced float.
